In exchange, Tsubaki curses Kagome using her snakelike demon puppet Shikigami. As her shards of the Shikon Jewel are tainted black and are merged within her, Kagome is forced under Tsubaki's hypnosis. Though, she is given the order to kill InuYasha, Kagome tries her best to resist in doing so.
